Each box contains ten single-serve, ready-to-brew sachets of El Carmen from Colombia. Brew and drink great coffee while climbing a mountain, waking in a hotel room, or lounging by the campfire. All you need is a cup and some boiling water and you’re set! About this coffee This fruit-forward coffee was produced by Neyid Pillimue and his wife Isaura Cuchumbe, at their farm just outside of Alto Palmar, Colombia. With breathtaking views of Colombia’s highest volcano, Nevado del Huila, El Carmen’s rich, volcanic soil contributes to the excellent cup quality of coffees grown and processed here. As the eldest son of Maria Rosa Oidor, the influential matriarch of the multi-generational coffee-farming Pillimue family, Neyid has been involved in coffee production from an extremely young age. He has since continued his family legacy, as after moving to the region 12 years ago Neyid and Isaura have become community leaders, and key members of Pergamino’s Allied Producer Program. El Carmen lots are milled and dried onsite, and this careful treatment has resulted in a coffee which has notes of milk chocolate and red plum, with a hazelnut finish. Our coffee drip bags are the perfect solution for making great coffee on the go. El Carmen, a relatively large farm for the region, is mostly planted with the Caturra variety. All El Carmen coffee is milled and dried onsite. The Pillimue family have a longstanding presence in the area, having farmed coffee for four generations.
