Welcome to Coffeefe (operated by Omer Horovitz). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Coffeefe website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
  • By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
  • If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

  • You may create an account using your email address.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. User Content

3.1 Your Rights

You retain ownership of content you upload, including images, reviews, and other materials ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Coffeefe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

3.2 Content Standards

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
  • Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Violates the privacy of others
  • Is spam, advertising, or promotional material (unless authorized)
  • Impersonates another person or entity

3.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users.

4. Service Description

Coffeefe provides:

  • Image recognition to extract information from coffee bag photos
  • A database of coffee products and roasters
  • Tools to track, review, and discover coffee
  • Community features including reviews and brew logs

The Service may change over time. We may add, remove, or modify features, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service.

Accuracy Disclaimer: Image recognition and data matching may produce incomplete or inaccurate results. Always verify information before relying on it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Circumvent any security or access controls
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Coffeefe and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

Coffee product information, roaster details, and other catalog data may be sourced from public information and third parties. Trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information provided through the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COFFEEFE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coffeefe and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • You may delete your account via Settings (where available) or by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
  • We may discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable laws that cannot be waived by contract (including mandatory consumer protection laws in your country, state, or jurisdiction of residence).

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
