Freak Coffee Roasters

About This Coffee

Bright Citrus Sweetness with a Tea-Like Body – Refreshing Even When Cold. Enjoy a vibrant acidity reminiscent of grapefruit, orange, and lemon, balanced with the smoothness of a black tea-like body. The finish lingers with notes of brown sugar and molasses, making this coffee particularly expressive even when brewed as iced drip or cold brew. This lot comes from the Kirurumwe Farmers’ Cooperative Society in Kenya, where coffee farming began in 1950. In 1957, 100 farmers established the first wet mill, the Kevote Coffee Factory. Today, the cooperative operates three wet mills—Kevote, Kianjuki, and Ngaindethia—and has grown to over 4,500 members
