About This Coffee

Although it is rare to find coffees from this country, Haiti is the Caribbean nation best suited to coffee cultivation. However, successive natural, humanitarian and political disasters have weakened the entire coffee infrastructure and have had a negative impact on the quality of the coffees produced. As a result, we rarely have the opportunity to present specialty coffees (80+/100 pts according to the SCA) from Haiti. Like Jamaican coffees, Haitian coffee is typically Caribbean, offering a rich and sweet body, hints of citrus, as well as notes of chocolate, raisins and nougat.
