Uganda – Zebigi Dry Fermentation - Espresso

Father's Coffee Roastery

About This Coffee

Zebigi comes from the Mt Elgon area in eastern Uganda, which is known for its rich volcanic soil and ideal conditions for growing specialty Arabica. This location is located at an altitude of 1,800 - 2,200 m above sea level, which, together with the cooler climate and rich biodiversity, contributes to the slower ripening of coffee cherries and the more intense development of flavor. The coffee undergoes a process of so-called dry fermentation, when coffee beans are left to ferment without adding water after the pulp is removed. This processing method helps to enhance the sweetness and complexity of the resulting cup, while the coffee retains a bright acidity and rich structure
