Ethiopia Gargari Gutity Natural Filter
Passport Coffee
About This Coffee
In southern Ethiopia, Gedeb lies the village of Banko Gutity, where the waters of the Gutity River nourish the coffee cultivation. Here, 2400 smallholder farmers cultivated coffee in their backyards and delivered their harvest to the Gargari washing station. Coffee grown in Ethiopia is naturally organic, as landrace varieties harmonise with the environment, providing organic fertiliser and natural pest control. The hand-picked cherries are floated before being transferred to African drying beds for 19 to 21 days of drying and natural fermentation, depending on the weather
