La Maravilla - Espresso
About This Coffee
This coffee has a rich texture with notes of hazelnut and caramel. La Maravilla is a family-run farm in Huehuetenango, founded in 1997 by Guillermo Rosales and his son Mauricio. They named it “La Maravilla” – “the wonder” – in tribute to the land’s breathtaking beauty. Starting with just three coffee plants, Guillermo and Mauricio built the foundations that would turn the property into a thriving coffee farm. When Guillermo passed away in 2005, he left behind both a prosperous estate and a legacy that Mauricio honours to this day. After years working as a green coffee buyer, Mauricio returned home to dedicate himself fully to farming. His focus on innovation and infrastructure has since transformed La Maravilla into one of Guatemala’s most celebrated farms, recognised many times in the Cup of Excellence. Today, Mauricio and his son Luis, an agronomist, work side by side to support neighbouring farmers and further elevate the excellent quality of their coffee.
